Geocache Description:

I was getting a cache just north of here and thought this would be a great place for a cache.  As I was pulling up, I saw three turkeys at the top of the hill.  I got out to investigate and noticed there were actually four.  One was showing his dominance towards me, so I backed off down the hill a little.  They were all male and I would most definitely lose a battle with them. They wandered around a while by the fence eating something, then I saw one jump the fence. The rest must have either followed or went to where the fence ends and went around.  When I got to the end of the fence, I counted eight total off in the trees.  It's fun to know that nature adapts to human domination.

Turkeys are native to the Americas.  One theory on how they became "turkeys" was when Europeans encountered them in the Americas, they mistook them for a type of guineafowl which was being imported from Turkey.  They were then called turkey fowl or Indian turkeys, then just turkeys.

There is a no trespassing sign to the north, but the fence ends to the south.  I did not venture in, as much as I wanted to explore, but I figured the west side of the fence was fair play.

You should not have to remove the entire cache from it's hiding place.  Just take off the lid to get the log.
