I have always liked looking out for these barn quilts while out for a drive or caching along the back roads, it kind of makes the drive a little more pleasant in
HURON COUNTY.
With their adult children home at that time, this family joined together for some fun with both labour. The parents bought this farm in 1979, raised children on it as well as dairy cows. They have sold the cows on the advice of their son and now into cash cropping. They enjoy the driving and seeing the different quilts in the summer. They put up 3 as they couldn't chose one and the shed is wide enough.
IPM 2017 is where the barn quilt craze mainly started in Huron County as a contest.
Barn quilts originally started there roots in Ohio.
Barn quilts tell stories.
The proper size for a barn quilt is 8'x8'.
They draw motorists to our rural highways, roads that have many stories to tell.
Barn Quilts are rural graffiti – civic art about sacred places, battlefields, and historic locations.

ABSOLUTELY NO NIGHT CACHING, RESPECT THE NEARBY HOMEOWNERS. I HAVE SPOKEN WITH QUITE A FEW OF THEM AND ASSURED THEM THAT THIS SHOULDN'T HAPPEN.
