I came to this exact spot back in the late 70's/early 80's to enjoy the lake! I remember Blue Bonnets for the first time here and my Mother telling me, "don't pick them, it's against the law"!, LOL! There was a boat ramp and covered picnic areas back then. There are still signs and concrete in place! The signs warn of a neighborhood park watch with no "area code" numbers and "head in boat trailer parking only", lol! Not sure how long this area will last with the recent building spree but I had a flashback while placing and can't believe the view now with the lake gone... sigh. The road you park on would have been underwater back then, if it existed. I hope it will remain forever as a reminder to simpler times. Have fun!!
