The Texas Spirit Quest
is a series of Caches placed by
many individuals, near cemeteries and historic sites in hopes of
paying respect to the many pioneer ancestors that have
‘walked’ before
us.
There are hundreds of cemeteries in the rural communities
across Texas. This series will introduce you to many of them. The
cache pages will provide a virtual history tour of the cemeteries,
tombstones and local lore.
NOTE: THE CACHE IS *NOT* RIGHT BY THE CEMETERY. To reach that actual site, proceed to the northwest corner of the Colovista Loop. I could not find a legal location any closer that was discreet and had safe parking and that would not draw the ire of the golfers and neighbors. At any rate, there are four interments here for members of the Higgins family (all women, including two toddlers), with dates of death ranging from 1849 through 1861.
