Jiribuga is the local Ngarluma word for Echidna. These curious little creatures can be found all through this area and love to hide among the rocks (of which there are plenty around here) eating ants (also plenty). See if you can learn the Ngarluma words for some more local animals.
This cache is located near the highest point in town and can be accessed either by walking the Yaburar Heritage Trail (and picking up a couple of extra caches along the way) starting at the Karratha Visitors Center or via a 4x4 trail to the top. Many people also walk up to this spot in the cooler afternoons starting from the Leisureplex. Great views of all of Karratha can be had from this area.
