There used to be a cache here, but I recently noticed that it had been archived. Well that just won't do. Imagine a boat landing with no geocache. So I stopped on my way by and placed a new cache here. This is a good place to launch a boat or to access the lake in the winter time.
The Geocache Notification Form has been submitted to the Mead Wildlife Area Land Manager of the Wisconsin DNR. Geocaches placed on Wisconsin Department of Natural Resource managed lands require permission by means of a notification form. Please print out a paper copy of the notification form, fill in all required information, then submit it to the land manager. The DNR Notification form and land manager information are available at www.wi-geocaching.com/hiding
| Logging Etiquette: Geocache hiders sometimes go through a great deal of planning to place their caches. As a result, they'd like to hear your feedback on whether you liked or disliked any aspect of the hide, or if you feel that some cache maintenance is required. Single word, acronym, or emoticon logs may be easier when you have a lot of caches to log, but it doesn't tell the hider or other finders anything about your adventure (or lack thereof) in finding the cache. Please keep this in mind when entering your log. |
