Geocache Description:

Tako pa ni bilo nekoč, ko so skoraj do nje segali vinogradi, ko so jih tu prvi zasadili že žički kartuzijani. Urbana in Matije. škof Mohor in ob njem diakon Fortunat z odprto knjigo in napisom. (EN) The church stands alone, in the middle of the forest. It only reveals us when we get closer to a few meters. Thus, it was not once when vineyards were almost up to it, when the first Carthusian wreaths were first planted there. That is why this end with the church was called Gorizia. Originally, the church had a level wooden ceiling both in the ship as well as in a triple-locked presbytery, which is why it also has no external supports. The church was built in the early 15th century and in May 1487, there were three altars dedicated to it. At the time of the rebuilding of 1500, the semicircular portal under the bell tower and a rounded portal with a flat finish leading to a crypt. Thus, only after this renovation, the presbytery was arched and, with this modernization, the high-rise window was considerably enlarged by the altar. The bell tower was built in the late 17th century, when many churches received this height. The bureaucracy gave the baroque the final architectural image. At that time, the churches were redeveloped and their equipment improved. In 1737, on the south side of the ship they opened or only modernized the doors, and in 1753 the ship was lined up. Since the thin walls of the ship were unable to take over the weight of the built-in arches, they were reinforced from the inside by a slope, which was a common solution for replacing wooden ceilings with built-in arches. From the time of the shackling of the ship, there is also a singing trough, which, with its wavy lines and modest knitted decoration, fits nicely with the ship's space. The urban interior was decorated with baroque equipment, of which, unfortunately, nothing is preserved. Despite the personal execution of the restoration works, the church has been under pressure only this century. Soon after the glittering, in 1756 the church visited the voyager and saw in it, beside the great side altar of St. Urban and Matija. In 1881, the interior was restored, and the following year, the large and left altar of St. Urban, created by the Celje suburban Franc Krašovic. The average work, typical of the time when the great tradition of tradition was lost. In the central niche of the great altar i sv. Bishop Mohor and beside him the Fortunat diacon with an open book and inscription. The left archaic altar has a sculpture of the Pope Urbana in the niche, and in the attic there is an oval picture of St. Joseph with a child in his arms. Altar
