This is a pot located opposite a fine example of a lime Kiln.
You do not need to enter the site to find the cache as you can pull up next to the cache on the road side.
Lime was made by burning limestone with coal so that it broke up into a caustic powder whick was used to "sweeten" soil and make building morter.
This is a particularly fine example using dressed stone for the two arches
Limestone was quaried localy and coal obtained from the Forest Of Dean anprobably brought by donky paniers.
