Geocache Description:

28 January 2019, 18:30 - 20:00

Second Pub Night for 2019

Date: January 28, 2019

Location: Canadian Brewhouse, 1715 Kenaston Blvd

Time: 6:30 to 8:30

It's time to celebrate with geocachers who made 2018 geocaching new year resolutions (aka 'cachelutions') and encourage those making 2019 cachelutions.  So let’s get together for beer at the Canadian Brewhouse in Lindenwoods.  Prizes will be awarded based on the "rules" below.

MBGA is offering a door prize appropriate for a geocacher.

Kindly log your "will attend" along with the number in your party so we can ensure the kind folks at The Canadian Brewhouse can prepare for hungry and thirsty geocachers.

2019 Cachelutions Contest Rules (Same as 2018)

  1. The contest runs from January 1, 2019 to December 31, 2019. The cut-off date to declare goals is two weeks after the “cachelutions” pub night event on January 28 (i.e. February 4th). Goals will be assessed, and accomplishments verified, by members of the MBGA Executive at the beginning and end of the contest period, respectively.
  2. Cachers/teams wishing to take part may declare a maximum of three (3) caching goals (“cachelutions”). Goals should be declared in a log entry on this “cachelutions” pub night event. Goals may be changed up until the cut-off date.
  3. Goals must relate to cache finds or hides and must be statistically verifiable. (That is, something that can be determined by checking your Geocaching.com public profile or another publicly available website (e.g. Project-GC.com). For example, “increase my understanding of GSAK”, while a good idea, would not be an eligible goal.)
  4. There will be three prize draws. Third prize will be drawn from among cachers/teams that complete one goal; second prize, from among those that complete two goals; first prize, from among those that complete three goals.
  5. Cachers/teams are encouraged to declare goals that pose a legitimate challenge for them to accomplish.
  6. Prizes will be drawn for at the “cachelutions” pub night event in 2020. Cachers/teams do not have to be physically present at the pub night event either to declare their goals or to be eligible to win prizes.
  7. The MBGA Executive will keep a “master list” of all declared goals. This list will not be changed after the cut-off date (i.e. after February 4, 2019).
  8. Geocachers must be residents of Manitoba, but do not need to be members of the Manitoba Geocaching Association (MBGA) to take part or win prizes.
