Shopping malls in the Philippines are much more than a place to buy goods and services. This means that after a long, hot ride across town, a passenger can step down and cool off with just a few, short steps inside.
SM City Davao, also known as SM Ecoland, first opened its doors for business in 2001. It has a large supermarket, a multi-level department store and an anex building that's nearly as big as the original. It is clean and modern, and has a wide variety of shopping outlets, food and entertainment options inside.
