A simple multi for my closest friend (he's my brother too). It was placed with the permission of Severn Trent Water (Carsington).
The two clues are simply alternatives, depending on which way you walk around the lake. If you had to work out a clue to the final cache only to realise you have to retrace your steps to find it would be frustrating! So you just do one clue - the relevant one for your direction of travel.
The given coordinates relate to the first clue when travelling from the north (from Carsington village end). The waypoint is to be used when you are walking from the south (from Millfields Car Park end).
So if you are walking/running/riding/crawling from the north along the Carsington Water round-the-lake walk then you will first need to find one piece of information at the given coords : how many letters in the surname of Dorothy? That number can be inserted in the relevant coded coordinates at letter A.
