I can't stress enough that this location is not for the faint-hearted, that it can be very dangerous in foggy or windy conditions. Not suitable for children.
The big plastic container is hidden in the "basement" of a rock formation and shielded from curious eyes by a flat, upright stone. Please replace the stone so that the cache container is well hidden! See spoiler photo for exact location, internet connection is spotty in this remote area.
To get to the cache, you either walk from the Cliffs of Moher main car park and visitor centre south along the cliffs, or you turn into the small road opposite the Rock Shop & Café (which in itself is well worth a visit!) and follow the signs to a small and busy private car park (€3 per car) at the last house. From there you walk up to the Moher Tower which is visible from afar.
Please be extra careful in high winds, as they change all the time and the gusts can come from all sides. The path down to the cache is not suitable for small or boisterous kids, so IF you decide to bring them, chain them to yourself! There are a few holes in the ground, into which smaller people could easily fall. There are a few spots along the way which are a bit tricky, so really do be extra careful. It's a long way down.
Please, please hide the cache container again in the same way you found it! And please close the lid properly, it's a wet spot. Twice the previous cache disappeared, so please hide it carefully and in the spot you found it. Don't hide it somewhere else just because you think it would be a better spot!!
Also, the grass will easily be showing signs of a geocaching highway, so please assign one person only to go down to the cache and retrieve it, no need for everybody in the group to go down there. Thank you! This will ensure that the cache goes undetected and more people will enjoy the caching experience in this amazing spot.
