The Cache is placed on the hill-side of the entrance at the cul de sac at Doctors Point. This large “turning area” (just after the boat jetty) seems out of place but has the coolest (and least smelly) camo-coloured long drop we’ve ever seen. The Alexandra to Doctors Point portion of the Clutha Gold Trail is a 20km return trip (some switchbacks and “narrow” areas), unless you are catching a boat from Doctors Point towards Roxburgh. It is one of our favourite rides. Not for the wee buttons but anyone over 10 (in my opinion) should be fine for this ride. - but look at the website for more info. Sit on a rock, take in the views of the river, and enjoy the spot over a sweet water and yummy muesli bar, before heading back. The Cache is a regular systema container. No climbing required.
