Number 64 on this trail with more of the Kings Bay story. Installment number 7: During the 1990s, the end of the Cold War led to a decision to reduce the number of Trident subs by four. Camden County ciizens and others lobbied heavily, and ultimately successfully, for the conversion of those four submanes into SSGN's, guided missile submarines. These are said to carry as many as 150 Tomahawk cruise missiles, along with accommodations for Navy SEALs and other special ops personnel.
