Geocache Description:

This geocache is NOT at the posted coordinates which is one of several parking areas in this park. The final location is at N 34° 12.3XY' W 77° 52.8Z0' where X, Y and Z are determined by visiting the two waypoints. This is a pint-size well-camouflaged geocache with only enough room for some small trade items, Travel Bugs, an ink pen and a log. The geocache is located in one of New Hanover’s oldest county parks where you will find many people walking their dogs and sometimes even see a Shih Tzu family being given a ride in a dog stroller! (Note: The Dog Stroller (TB5EBNZ) is a trackable)

Long Leaf Park (previously known as Hugh MacRae Park) is one of the oldest and best known parks in New Hanover County. The park was donated to the County by businessman Hugh MacRae in 1913. The 98-Acre park is well know for festivals and events. Facilities include lighted tennis courts, playgrounds, ball fields with seasonal concessions, an equestrian ring, a Dog Exercise enclosure, six picnic shelters, picnic tables, grills, rest rooms, 1.66 mile paved trail surrounding the park, scenic garden with a gazebo and pond. The name of this geocache was given because it is a great location to give your dogs buggy rides, dog walks, people walks, etc.
