The easiest way to reach this spot is through the car park of the Dolphin Centre in Pangbourne. Leave this small carpark by the gate that leads onto the river meadow. The cache is located near this gate.

• The bridge by the cache that crosses the Thames is, in terms of price per yard, the most expensive toll bridge in the world. It currently costs 60p to cross.
• The stretch of the Thames you can see from the meadow was beloved by Kenneth Graham, author of the idylic account of river life 'Wind in the Willows'. He lived the latter part of his life in Pangbourne.
• Led Zeppelin, one of the best-selling rock and roll bands of all time, were founded in Pangbourne. Lead guitarist Jimmy Page lived in the village, in a house by the Thames. He invited a promising young singer from the Midlands, Robert Plant, to come visit him in Pangbourne to discuss forming a band. The rest is history.
