I'll give it up right off. It's a book. Now for the fun. To find the book, you'll have to answer the questions and do some very easy math to get the Dewey Decimal reference number. Don't bother looking in the catalog, as it isn't there. Besides, I haven't told you the title, and no, it isn't the cache name. I'll let you find that out yourself. Once you have the Dewey reference number you'll be able to find the book (it's okay to ask for help to get the general area of where to look; also they rearrange books as more come in so it might be out of reach--again ask for help). Once you have found the book, there's more fun stuff to do before signing the log. Good Luck!
Stage 1:
A = # of windows on the old building's outside stone wall that are inside the new building
B = # of chairs with attached desk/writing board
C = # of grandfather clocks
D = # of lamp posts that are inside the library
E = # of fireplaces accessible by patrons
F = what is the ROT13 letter for the 17th letter of the alphabet? The reference number is ABC.DE F
Stage 2:
G = date on framed wood board that is the same color as the room
H = # of spinning wheels
I = year Lucy Robbins Welles was born
J = 2180
K = add G + H + I + J == numbers for combination lock; you'll have to figure out the proper order, of course.
Stage 3:
