One of a pair of caches with easy access from the A39 truck layby at the bottom of Puriton Hill. 'North' requires a moderate climb from the lay-by, but with a great view of the levels, M5 and A39. So you can check the roads before setting off again refreshed! Sorry, no room for TBs or exchanges at the moment. The route from 'South' to 'North' is along a well signposted but indistinct footpath through an open short grazed field, requiring a moderate climb. The route is currently diverted to avoid the fenced area around the new electricity pylons. Use the Waypoint as a half way guide. The field is often empty, but check for cattle or other animals at the stile if you are concerned.
If a longer walk is wanted, the route will lead you to a more level path on top taking you through some private woodland areas then to a few long standing caches created by other COs.
During peak times you may also be able to purchase refreshments or garden ornaments from the layby.
