I like to pay a little attention to what goes on in the financial world. This means I find myself occasionally checking in on what certain individuals are up to. One person I like to follow is Warren Buffett.
Mr. Buffett, the "Oracle of Omaha", has always intrigued me because, even though he is one of the wealthiest individuals in the world, he also likes to share and is a noted philanthropist. He has pledged to ultimately donate 99% of his wealth to philanthropic causes.
I was reading an interview with Warren Buffett recently, where he was asked if there were any points in his life that were particularly meaningful. His response was interesting to me:
"I have had many such times in my life, some good, some not so good. I think an example of a high point would be October 29, 1997, while a couple of low points were June 27, 1996 and November 29, 1995. Oh! I remember that August 15, 1995 was another high point! And, you know, at the end of the day, May 14, 1993 was pretty meaningful as well."
