In 2018, a replica of the buoy at the southernmost point of the U.S. was built here in Satellite Beach. The original buoy at Key West states that it is 90 miles to Cuba. It is a very popular photo spot, and often has a waiting line for photogs. The replica in Satellite Beach states that it is 437 miles to Cuba, and there is never a line for photo ops here. So you can spare yourself 347 miles and several hours of driving to Key West at this beachside spot. And while you're at it, find a geocache here.
This is an easy park n' grab. The property owner has granted us permission to place this cache here, and he and his associates are aware that cache seekers may be milling about the location. Could be muggles around, so just act like casual tourists. The container is not attached to the building and you do not need to walk on the pavers or decking, or climb on anything. It is a micro, so BYOP. A little something inside with the log for FTF. Please leave the dessicant tab with the log to keep the container dry and please take care to avoid over-tightening the cap. Happy caching!
Congrats to vilstudio/racewalker! FTF less than 5 hours from publishing and <24 hours from cache placement.
