Moru Lane is a fire lane. The traditional long stores are less and less. Once they presented a fire hazard and were difficult to leave in fire emergencies, so these narrow fire lanes were put next to the long stores. 其實，摸乳巷就是長條店屋間的一道防火巷。這條窄巷，最窄處還不到70公分。如果男女正巧面對面走來，擦身而過時，將會是多麼尷尬的情景。於是便出現許多名稱，如「護胸巷」、「君子巷」，但都不及粗俚的「摸乳巷」來的出名。
