Edobashi 1-Chome intersection is an intersection where Showa-dori and Eitai-dori Streets intersect.
Currently, there is no place name called Edobashi 1-Chome. Upon reconstruction from the Great Kanto Earthquake in 1923, Tokyo City implemented compartmentalization and town name amendment in various places. The current Chuo-ku Nihonbashi was called Edobashi 1-3 Chome on the east side of Showa-dori, and Tori 1-3 Chome on the west side. When Nihonbashi-ku and Kyobashi-ku merged in 1947 and Chuo-ku was established, they were renamed Nihonbashi-Edobashi 1-3 Chome and Nihonbashi-Tori 1-3 Chome by adding “Nihonbashi” as a prefix. In 1973, the Japanese addressing system was implemented and they became Nihonbashi 1-3 Chome which is the current place name.
In the basement of the Edobashi 1-Chome intersection, there is Nihonbashi Station of the Asakusa Line of Toei Subway. This station was called Edobashi Station when it opened in 1963. When the Eidan Subway Tozai Line opened in 1967, the Edobashi Station became a transfer station with Nihonbashi Station of Eidan Subway, but the station name was not changed at that time, then renamed Nihonbashi Station in 1989.

江戸橋一丁目交差点は、昭和通りと永代通りが交差する交差点です。
現在、江戸橋一丁目という地名はありません。大正12年（1923年）の関東大震災からの復興に際し、東京市では各地で区画整理と町名改正が実施され、現在の中央区日本橋は、昭和通りの東側が江戸橋一～三丁目、西側が通一～三丁目とされました。昭和22年（1947年）に日本橋区と京橋区が合併して中央区が成立した際、「日本橋」を冠称して日本橋江戸橋一～三丁目、日本橋通一～三丁目とされました。昭和48年（1973年）に住居表示が実施され、現在の地名である日本橋一～三丁目となりました。
江戸橋一丁目交差点の地下には、都営地下鉄浅草線の日本橋駅があります。この駅は、昭和38年（1963年）の開業当時は江戸橋駅と称していました。昭和42年（1967年）に営団地下鉄東西線が開業した際に、営団日本橋駅との乗換駅となりましたが、駅名は変更されず、その後、平成元年（1989年）に日本橋駅に改称されました。
この江戸橋一丁目交差点の近くにキャッシュを設置しました。マグルが多いのでご注意ください。キャッシュにはペンが入っていませんのでお持ちください。
