Cherry Blossom CITO

It's Cherry Blossom time in Macon, so let's help the City get ready for the "pinkest party in town" with a clean-up along the Ocmulgee Heritage Trail! We will meet at the Spring Street parking lot/boat ramp (posted coords) and split into 2 groups heading in both directions on the trail. The City has been working hard to clean up the mud left behind from recent flooding rains, and they have asked us to help with LITTER and LIMB DEBRIS pick-up along the trail. We will pile limbs together in an area and leave trash bags in another area - the City crews will come remove it all. (They will weigh the debris and count garbage bags to get a tally of what was collected.) TRASH BAGS will be provided!
Plan to meet at 9:00 am in the parking area and we will go from there. Wear clothes and shoes you don't mind getting dirty. Gloves are wise to wear, as well. Don't forget your Georgia CITO essentials: water bottle, bug spray, and sunscreen. I will bring doughnuts for us to give a boost as we begin our work!!!
The City has okay'd caches along the OHT, so let's return the favor with a CITO to help them get ready for the Cherry Blossom festival. Please plan to come - bring family with you - bring new cachers with you - bring non-cachers with you :-) Many hands make light work!
