THE GEOCACHE is a two inch (5cm) long, coloured metal tubular container, hidden under one foot up, on the non-road side of the hedge, in gap in prickly hedge, opposite the second trunk post up the entrance road from the metal gates. There is a log roll in a plastic bag, but no room for anything else so please bring your own pen or pencil. Beware of the thorny hedge, search carefully with a stick or gloves, but the cache is visible and accessible in a small gap. There are seats and a recreation ground close by. If the gates are closed, then use the entrance at the steps, a bit further south.
THE VENUE for the BL series is a family friendly loop around Bursledon and Lowford. Some sections are road walks so beware of traffic especially in short sections with no path, and other sections are countryside paths some of which can get very muddy in wet weather, so wellies are recommended, but check the individual cache listings if not doing the full loop.
