Geocache Description:

Welcome to The Wilderness Center's Pond Trail!  This is one of six...yes, six!  The new and improved Sigrist Trail is open!....trails on the property.  This cache is being released to coincide with TWC's annual winter event, SIX MORE WEEKS OF WINTER-2019, which just so happens to fall on Groundhog Day this year!  Although not part of the event, this cache and several others will be available to find after the event.

Okay, let's move on to the cache!  You are looking for a large container with plenty of room for trades and TBs.  Definitely not a micro and is a good one for the little ones to find.  There will be a pen in there to start but who knows how long it will hang around..they seem to like to sprout legs and wander off so bring a writing utensil with you just in case.  You will more than likely need it for the others on the trails also.  Please replace as found and if there are any problems with this cache please let us know.  The cache is about 20-25 feet off the trail.  Might be a little bit of bushwhacking depending on the time of the year but shouldn't be too hard to find.  Stay on the trail until you get close to GZ. And as always, CACHE AT YOUR OWN RISH!

The TWC Interpretive Building is open Tuesday thru Saturday from 9AM to 5PM.  Limited seasonal hours on Sundays.  The trails are open every day from dawn to dusk.  If you plan on staying past 5PM or come in the evening, please park in the lower parking lot as the gates are locked at 5PM.   No night caching is permitted with the exception of our winter event on Saturday, February 2, 2019.  The grounds are patrolled by the Stark County Sheriff's Office and the local police.  These trails can get slippery and dangerous during the winter and rainy months so cache with care.  No alcohol, firearms or pets permitted on the Pond, Wilderness and Pioneer Trails.  Pets on a leash are permitted on the trails across Alabama Avenue but not during events.
