D.E.D. #5 AlphaNumeric
I had a challenge series all worked up for us average cachers, but I ran stuck meeting all the qualifications for Mystery/Challenge caches. I've got 8 cache containers placed, so I'm going to cut my losses and revert the whole set to plain old traditionals. I present to you the Dead End Duds.
The standard AlphaNumeric Challenge is to find a cache which name begins with a 0, another that starts with 1, 2, on to 9, and then each letter of the alphabet, too. For example, Cache GCA24F 142nd PA Infantry (a cache in Gettysburg) has a name that starts with 1. GC1DDNA Quarry Road starts with a Q, and GCGZJ8 The Horn's Ferry Bridge starts with a T. My wife has almost 1000 caches; she checked and still has 5 numbers/letters to go. There are apps and websites that use premium members' "My Finds" pocket queries to work up all kinds of stats, or you can try to do it yourself from your finds list. For my challenge I was going to just require 15 letters, and worked up an acrostic from my wife's list:
T The Horn's Ferry Bridge (GCGZJ8) 1
H H.S. Kuyper Nature Trail (GCGZH4) 2
A And thennn? (GCQWA0) 3
N narrow roads (GCGY4J) 4
K KO Lee Cache (GC2942) 5
S Swiss Family Robinson (GCKKRW) 6
F Fishermans Cache (GCT1E3) 7
O Osky bike trail cache (GC4DA8) 8
R Red Rock North Overlook (GC29CE) 9
P Puzzler Event Cache (GCMVAR) 10
L Light for the Karr's (GCTDCZ) 11
A And thennn? (GCQWA0)
Y Yannni's Cache (GC13P27) 12
I I need some water (GCTYXR) 13
N narrow roads (GCGY4J) (repeat)
G Great River Roadside Cache (GCN6623) 14
How many "letters" have you found?
