Geocache Description:

St Kilda has enjoyed a rich history within Australian baseball.  After a few incarnations it was the St Kilda Baseball Club in the 30's that began a proud tradition in Claxton Shield Baseball, which continued for many years.

The Tom O'Halloran Field is named after 80 year-old Life Member Tom O’Halloran who took his first At Bat since the nineties in the St Kilda Red vs. Black Derby. Tom ceased playing full time in the seventies and did maintain at least one At Bat in every decade since 1946 - that’s 7 decades!

This location finds you in direct view of the batting practice nets so be careful of foul balls. You might need some tweezers or a thin twig to get at the log as it's a tight fit.
