Patterson reserve is located near auburn road Hawthorn. There are many facilities at the reserve.
These facilities include.
Hockey fields- there are two hockey fields that are run by Hawthorn hockey club.
Velodrome- the velodrome is not really a velodrome but the public uses it as a training track. In 1956 they used it as a warm up track for the Olympics.
Gardiners creek trail- This trail is used a lot for commuting and connects the Blackburn Creek trail to the Yarra trail which takes you into the city.
Small skate park and playground- 500m down the track towards the city is a small skate park and next to it is a kids playground
The cache
is a 20cm long, in the cache there is a log book and pen and also room for trackables plus swappables.
