Number 76 on the trail is on the road now known as Laurel Island Parkway. This is a historic colonial road, named Colerain Road for a couple of hundred years, which went about 10 miles further west of here, to an old trading post community known as Colerain. It was renamed to promote a golfing community far east of here, when the City of Kingsland paid for a public golf course to promote a subdivision near a tract known as Laurel Island.
