Kings Bay trail #78 is placed in honor of Georgia geocacher The Gator Bait Four, who has already found some of these hides at the time of submission of this one. I knew him indirectly from some of his 200 or so hides up in Glynn County which I had found, and finally met him at a cache event in Jacksonville a year or so ago. To my surprise, I had been using the services of one of his staff people at an office in Camden County for years. And he has given back in other ways, including more than 2,000 trackables and planning CITO events which I have attended. He also performs a very special service to the public and others which he would not likely want me to specify here, but take my word for it, he takes on important challenges that most of us shy away from. I never have asked him about the significance of that Gator Bait part of his caching name. At the annual Georgia-Florida football game in Jacksonville, the Florida fans have always chanted “GATOR BAIT” when the Bulldogs take the field—and throughout the game if the Florida gators are ahead. So, since Georgia is the “gator bait” on those occasions, is this guy a Georgia fan (the gator bait), or a Florida fan (the ones screaming this foul chant)? Please don't tell me if the answer is “Florida fan”. It would be a shame to remove this carefully worded dedication . . .
Permission has been granted by the proper authorities for the placement of these caches. Be careful and pull well off the pavement. This one even has room for a pen. A few tradables have been left in this container, and all others along the trail that had room for them.
You are looking for a quart-sized jar, camo-painted.
