The Forgotten Road DIY skatespot Traditional Cache

The Forgotten Road came into existence two years ago, after Ally Campbell chanced upon an abandoned road buried deep under the earth. Left to the hands of nature for 40 odd years, the spot was far from skateable, but after a few weekends spent uncovering the thick mud and overgrown bushes, the team discovered just how much space they had to play with.

Since then, Ally and a bunch of locals have been building up the spot at every opportunity, creating what must be one of the longest skate spots going. This year the road’s been made longer still, with the addition of several new features, including a roller around a tree, bank to bank, quarter pipe to clam shell and a bank to double ledge
