Geocache Description:

Number 81 in a series. You may have noticed lots of pine trees along this trail. Before the coming of the paper mills in the South, pines were used only for lumber or turpentine production. When I was young, many of the older trees still had turpentine “cups” attached, beneath blazes cut in the trees to the sap would “bleed” into the cups. There the sap would be collected and put into barrels and hauled away to be processed into turpentine. If you are much younger than I (and who isn't?), you might not remember using turpentine as paint thinner, to clean out paint brushes. Come to think of it, you might not even remember needing paint thinner—or oil-based paint . . . To be continued next stop.

Permission has been granted by the proper authorities for the placement of these caches.  Be careful and pull well off the pavement.    This one has a pen.

You are looking for a paint-camoed small jar.
