The Northern New Jersey Cachers (NNJC) will be hosting NNJC’s 14th winter tradition.
**************CACHING THROUGH THE SNOW EVENT ***************
Come and enjoy this meet and greet with your fellow geocachers as this year we celebrate the tradition with a "Winter Picnic" located at The Great Swamp Watershed Association's 73 acre Conservation Management Area (CMA).
"let it snow"
Date: SUNDAY ~ February 24, 2019
Start Time: 1:00 PM
End Time: 3:00 PM
LIGHT PICNIC: NNJC will supply HOT CHOCOLATE and light snacks for attendees. Please feel free to bring any beverage or food and snacks to share with you fellow Geocachers.
There will hopefully be new geocaches prior to the event as GSWA/NNJC is working on a new series to be placed at the Conservation Management Area.
This New Jersey tradition, held first Sunday in December, is one of the oldest geocaching events in the Northeast. It was started in 2004 as the first Caching through the snow event by Team Rampant Lion, (TRL) through CTTS # 5 in 2008, when TRL moved to CA. The Northern New Jersey cachers, NNJC kept the tradition alive and hosted the 2009 CTTS # 6 through ~ 2016 CTTS # 13. This event was not held in December 2017 and December 2018 due to the recent Metrogathering Mega events taking up NNJC's planning time. We will carry on the tradition each year.
The Northern New Jersey Cachers, NNJC is about promoting a quality caching experience in Northern New Jersey. For information on The Northern New Jersey Cachers group you can visit: www.nnjc.org.
