Great views from not only the Lookout, but the destination, the high point of the Denman Prospect suburb.
From the posted coordinates, walk West up the stairs, counting the number of steps up stairs to the lookout at WP1... on approach keep left and be sure to count all the steps up stairs (A), and admire the views over to Black Mountain, Parliament House, and at the right time of day, you can see the Captain Cook memorial jet in all its glory. Exit via the ramp and continue West up to WP2. Along the way count the number of yellow topped metre marking posts (B), and admire the public art sculpture "Black Mountain" by Paul Selwood, created in 1983 at a sculpture symposium at ANU College of Art. It was placed here on 18th December 2018.
At WP2 count the number of red topped posts (C), orange topped posts (D), yellow topped posts (E), white topped posts, (F) and purple topped posts (G).
