An easy walk to a regular sized cache with a twist, hidden in the scrub brush in this designated recreation area. Follow the access road behind the gate about 330 feet to the oyster shell trail (you can't miss it), then head north. The trail passes within 50 feet of the cache. Slightly bigger than an ammo can, the cache is starting out with lots of swag for all ages. Note: surrounding area may become flooded after several days of heavy rain.
While there are no improvements to justify it (in my opinion), a Discover Pass is required to park here. If you don't have one, free parking is available in a paved turnaround area on the right side, 500 feet before the designated parking area (or take your chances, if you are feeling lucky).
