1. This CARW2019 cache will be published about 6pm on Thursday, February 21, 2019.
2. This cache has been placed for the CARW event with the intention that it not be located prior to 9:00 a.m. Saturday February 23, 2019.
3. The caches for the CARW event are released early so that the geocaching community has an opportunity to plan their routes and strategies prior to the event start.
Should you hunt and find this cache before the event start, it will not count for the event, and FTF points are only valid as of 9AM February 23rd.

Stop and admire the local offerings. Including Alberta's oldest store, the history here is amazing!

"CAR" in "CARW" stands for "Cache and Release",

"DNF" stands for Did not finish?",

"Cacher, Cacher (Prelude: Prince Of DNF)"

This quest, she is a puzzle.
A siren with camo eyes, she'll catch you with her muggle,
She will lead you with her prize.
She's been called a glistening treasure.
She's good at keeping score.
If you make it she's your savior, if you don't she's a bore.
The roads to and from her heart are littered with geo-trails.
They gave all of their all and all they got in return are challenge goals.
Sure we've all heard about Lock and Locks, PBJs and Ammo Cans.
She'd smiled on the Hansk’s, the Randy's and the Ninja clans.
Like a beacon she goes seeking night, her hunt so futile.
To a cacher she's a prison, to a caged one she's no smile.

She's the reason there's a "Saturday morning First to Find".
"A First Stash Plaque", "An Ape Cache in Brazil", "A letter box waiting to be found".
"TFTC" and "Power Trail".
The Groundspeak HQ, oh, she's a diamond in the crown of that wicked queen.
She was Mountain Man’s castle and GranpaLoren's passionate dream
It's not all bad it's not all dark it's not all gloom and dreary,
But to find gold in this silver mine it does take a pocket query.
For she's seen 'em come and seen 'em go,
And found herself a time or two.
No matter how satisfied her logs sound she always wants something new.
The next event or team or lab cache, all with stamina to last the night,
To be a star in this lady's town, you can search or you can hide.

You see, it all comes down to geo-sense.
Not romantic art of days gone past,
if you forget that rule, you can bet your smart phone she will bury it to last.
A traditional, an Altoids tin, a bison tube, a virtual, a thousand pawn shop GPSrs.
A nasty little nano in a spruce tree bleeds a searcher's heart.
She hides in friendly shadows; but she's the unusual pile of sticks
The Internet is her bookie and events are her clinics
I'll tell you a well-known secret of a tiny place known far and wide,
The cacher walks among us and the Original Stash is his pride.

Of all the chaos he has caused, and done.
His greatest trick is to every GPSr-totin' dreamer,
The can o’ beans don't exist... but me, I shook its hand.
And I know that it is real.
So Cacher, you can go hide another stash, but it will never be the original.

An Eric Church Parody.

Logging Etiquette: Geocache hiders sometimes go through a great deal of planning to place their caches. As a result, they'd like to hear your feedback on whether you liked or disliked any aspect of the hide, or if you feel that some cache maintenance is required. Blank, single word, acronym, or emoticon logs may be easier when you have a lot of caches to log, but it doesn't tell the hider or other finders anything about your adventure (or lack thereof) in finding the cache. Please keep this in mind when entering your log.
