The Emerald Fizzy Challenge
This is a challenge cache and the container is hidden at the posted coordinates.
Who doesn’t love a traditional geocache and that shining green icon? They come in all shapes and sizes, difficulties and terrains. From a well crafted city micro hide to a giant ammo can in the woods, from a quick park and grab to a day long hike in the woods, from a sweet ftf to a many year lonely cache, there is some kind of traditional geocache out there for everyone to find.
The Emerald Fizzy is a homage to the traditional geocache type and a variation on the conventional Fizzy challenge. For this challenge you must fill in your 81 space Difficulty/Terrain statistics grid with Traditional geocaches only - the emerald green cache icon.
Any size traditional geocache container qualifies. Your traditional geocaches may have been found anywhere in the world and at any time. So All past traditional cache finds count and will help qualify you for this challenge.
As required for all new challenges, I have included a checker at the bottom of the page.
The output of your checker should have at least one cache in every D/T square. My grid as of this writing is pictured below:
The difficulty of this cache is rated for all the hard work you have done to fill in your Traditional fizzy grid. The container should be an easy find as I have included a direct hint. The terrain is close to the actual terrain, with the brambles and such it may vary from season to season.
This cache is located on the clasp of Portland’s Emerald Necklace, aka Forest Park. So enjoy your time in the green forest. There is a big parking pullout close to gz.
Even if you don’t qualify, feel free to stop by, sign the log and post a note on the cache page.
I have included a spolier photo of the cache location in the photo gallery
Thanks for looking. Enjoy the Emerald Fizzy Challenge and the cache.
