Stay off of the posted side of the trail, which looks much like a southern bayou minus the Spanish moss... stear clear of the occasional equestrian. A nice walking trail, and the canal walls near the Lock 51 parking area are quite the site. Come explore our quaint village after caching!
The cache is an ammo can hidden off of the ground. Look for an octopuss reaching for the sky, if you can see 40 with hills in the distance, climb down and feel around- it's off the ground.
Update- 6/30/01: Checked on cache, still in right spot and in good shape. Good contents, beefed up a little with a few collectable coins in holders.
