This cache is based on the 300 Dogs cache by MAMD https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC1984N_300-dogs , there are still plenty of cards left. I don't have a Tweed Water Spaniel so I'm hoping some of you can help me out.

The Tweed Water Spaniel is probably descended from the St. John's water dog of Newfoundland crossed with local dogs along the River Tweed. The St. Johns was favored by writer Farley Mowat and was also an ancestor of the Newfoundland and Labrador Retriever breeds. Descendants of the Tweed Water Spaniel include the Curly Coated Retriever and Golden Retriever. Now St. Johns were black and Goldens are yellow so the Tweed is most likely somewhere between, and the photo on the card has it brown. If you have a Tweed Water Spaniel, please include in your log (can be a Note if you haven't found the cache) what color it is. For example, hold a Pantone color chart next to it and include the RGB value.
Similarly the 300 Dogs series requests that caches be placed in areas dogs will like but I can't test this being without a dog. In the spirit of the cache series, if you take your Tweed Water Spaniel to the cache site and they don't like it please tell me so I can archive the cache and reinstate it somewhere more appropriate.
