Geocache Description:

The cache is at the top of a cliff overlooking Wadi Nisah. A climb to it is not for the feint hearted or for those in a rush. The approach requires some sand driving so set out properly prepared.

The Altar to Arleah, N24°13.452; E046°41.632, is an obvious landmark for the cache. It may be seen for miles resembling an upright oil drum made of steel upon which are strange old Arabic markings.

The following is an extract from the log of Scarinian. I kept the enchanted Sword of Scalim sheathed. There were no foes worthy of its powers here. It is a desolate place. A firestorm and a few thunderballs were all I needed to keep the few Pertworts at bay. I do not log my route to the cache lest others should try and follow. This route was too mighty even for St Taraog and both Arthur with Excalibur and Gandalf the Wizard have failed. I recall the foretelling from the Wise Old Hag of Kingdom. “The Beasts of Meridon know of the cache for it is often told in the stories of the elders but none have dared search for it. For it is said that when the mighty warriors wish to challenge for the tribe of Zelba the Chief decrees that he may only duel in defence of his throne with those that have successfully found the cache. In his 243 years he has yet to fight a defence and all those that have made the attempt on the cache have never returned but been left to fatten the Vultures of Volga. Nay this cache will never be taken by a sane man but only by them that decides that if they can set the cache then I may bag it.” How right she was. When I reached The Altar to Arleah the cache was easily found it was a tupperware container hidden under a small overhang on the prominontry no more than 50m NW of the Altar and about 1m below the top. But before I could secure the prize, from out of the sun a Dragon of Thorog forced me away and I considered the assault on the cliff not worth risking my mortal soul a second time so as far as is known the cache remains there under the overhang.

So what does this log entry mean? Well the cache is not one for a quiet day out. It is not one for all the family. When you find the cache you will have a breathtaking view.
