Geocache Description:


Have you noticed all of the monuments that are located all around South Park?  Have you stopped and paid any attention to the monuments that are located around the park?  No?  Well, guess what, here is your chance to stop and look at some of the monuments located around the park.  For this cache, you will need to look at the 4 different monuments to gain the final coordinates for this cache.  The cache is located within South Park.  You will be hunting a medium size lock n lock container.  Despite the container being in the woods, you will still need to pay attention and look out for muggles.  When I was gathering coordinates and placing the cache, I saw folks hiking and bike riding by.  So, please use some stealth while finding this cache.

South Park is open from sunrise to Midnight.  Parking is located right next to the monuments.  There are numerous cache located around the park, so make it a day and enjoy many of the caches in the park.  There are also several playgrounds located around the park for the young ones as well.   And now for the cache.  In order to get the coordinates, please use the monuments to calculate where this cache is located:

North AB CD.EFG

A - Day that James Mestrovich was killed in action on a battlefield in France

B - Third number of the year Sydney Hagerling enlisted in the Pittsburgh Field Signal Company

C - First number listed on the monument for Frank Vittor

D - Second number of the division for the chief signal officer

E - First number of the Company-C infantry Pittsburgh

F - The number of letters in the type of machine gun fire Sergeant Mestrovich came under

G - Starting with the highest number on Frank Vittor's monument, subtract all the numbers from highest to lowest

Check Sum - All your numbers should total 19

West HI JK.LMN

H - 2nd number of the age that Col. Hagerling was when he died

I - Combine month PLUS day that the 15th Engineers where organized

J - 4th number of the year on Frank Vitor's monument

K - Number of Letters of City PLUS 2 for where the 15th Engineers organized

L - The 2nd number in the division number that Col Hagerlin was promoted to on July 15th, 1917

M - Number of letters for the 2nd word on the 6th line on Frank Vittor's monument

N - Last digit in the year that Col Hagerling was assigned to the first field signal battalion
