Rawcliffe Lake was constructed in the 1980s as part of the Clifton Moor redevelopment - it acts as drainage for the surrounding housing, and drains via the Blue Beck into the River Ouse. The 7 acre site incorporates some land set aside as nature reserves, and a wide variety of water fowl and other birds can be seen through the year.
It's not quite a cache-and-dash, but there's on road parking nearby - please be considerate of local residents. It's also accessible from the No.6 bus. The playing fields and the walk round the lake are popular with local residents and dog walkers, so some stealth will be required.
New container dropped off. I haven't used one like this before. Please be careful extracting the log, it should slip out easily, and replace it all exactly as you find it, thank you!
