Geocache Description:

So important is Adam Lindsay Gordon’s bush poetry that he is immortalised in Poets’ Corner, in London’s Westminster Abbey, where his bust is flanked by monuments to Wordsworth, Bronte and Shakespeare.

The bust displayed on this Penola street corner commemorates Adam Lindsay Gordon who was a former police officer in Penola. Gordon is the only Australian poet honoured with a bust in Poet's Corner. The Penola bust is the first replication Westminster Abbey has allowed.

Using information on the plaque near the bust you can determine the final coordinates.

From the original in Westminister Abbey by Kathleen Scott this sculpture was unveiled by the Dean of Westminster the Very Reverend Dr Wesley Carr on AB October CDEF
