Geocache Description:

My aunt, Hogan843, and my uncle, GeoVern, come to California from Chicago to visit me and my family every January for a delayed Christmas celebration. They love finding new places to catch the sunset after their geocaching adventures. On January 14, 2017, uncle Vern snuck aunt Hogan out of the house for sunset alone after having spent the day geocaching with my grandma. They found a picnic table near this geocache and took pictures of the water as the sun set. My daddy told them they should check out the "Green Flash," or what he described as a flash of light that happened on the horizon a second after the sun finished going down. They stared and stared, waiting for the flash, when uncle Vern pulled a ring out of his pocket and asked aunt Hogan if the green stone in the ring was enough of a green flash to make up for what didn't happen on the horizon. After more than eight years dating and geocaching together, aunt Hogan of course said Yes!

The nearby geocache to this location was recently archived, so I'm now able to place this cache commemorating the event. We all went as a family to place it. My brother liked chasing and screaming at the seagulls. My grandma lives nearby and will help me maintain this cache.

Note: The cache honorees already signed in as beta testers on the day the cache was placed so the FTF is still open.
