Geocache Description:

The scrubjay crew is bringing flowers for a spring fling - remember that some flowers will be easy to find and others may require a search.

Tread-softly is a perennial, low-growing herbaceous wildflower. The “flower” consists of five, petal-like sepals. Its alternateleaves are deeply lobed and dark green with contrasting palmate veins. As its name suggests, one must tread softly around this plant or else risk being stung by the many stinging hairs that cover its leaves, stems, seeds and even flowers. Also called stinging nettle and bull nettle.

Placement of this geocache has been approved by Rob Rossmanith, Park Biologist. Please remember, all wheels off the paved road when parking. Do not block any gates or trailheads, and follow the posted speed limits.
