Geocache Description:

Prior to summer 2022, this parking lot was adjacent to a beautiful mural.  It was painted by Pat Wise in 2005 and depicted Prather Bridge, which was built in 1920 by James D. Prather to connect the Georgia and South Carolina sides of the Tugaloo River. It burned down in 1978. Also pictured was Riverside, the Greek revival home of the Prather family. Confederate General Toombs once used the home to hide out from Union troops during the Civil War.

The mural disappeared in summer 2022, but check out the gallery for some great pictures!

Many thanks to the Stephens County Historical Society for providing this information!

Congratulations to Allen_L for FTF!
