Geocache Description:

This spot on my geocaching map has been calling me for a while.  Just like the other side of Kenmount Road was begging for a series of geocaches through the series of trails over there a couple of years ago, this side has been waiting for its caches to be placed as well.

So - to keep our map fresh and active, here begins a series of 7 new caches, conveniently placed in metro, just off of Tavenor Place (parking area) in Mount Pearl.  The series follows a short access road to a water tower, but then goes through a combination of traditonal trails and an access road to communications towers - hence the name.  The whole series is winter friendly. The city obviously has no problem with hikers coming to this area, as a sign at the front gate states "All Dogs Must Be Kept on a Leash" as opposed to "No Trespassing".  So as you come along to these caches, feel free to bring your pup, and don't be surprised if you meet a pup or two along the way. Combine this with St.John's to the left and Mount Pearl to the right as you head down the cache series, it's quite an interesting spot.  To walk back to Tavenor Place from cache number 7 is less than half an hour at a leisurely pace.  (When parking at Tavenor, please ensure that you do not block any household's driveway nor the access road.)

This first cache is to get you going just after leaving your ride at Tavenor Place.  It is a small winter friendly camo'd lock-n-lock, with a little swag to trade.

Thanks for coming along - let's get started!
