This Wherigo cache will show you some of the more hidden history of York.
York has a long history, from the Romans through the Vikings and into the Middle Ages, and then into "modern" Britain with the Tudors, on to the coming of the railways, and continued development to the present day. This Whereigo will give you snippets of each, and links to further information. Much of the information comes from the York Civic Trust website.
There are 26 "zones" which, as you pass through, will give you some information about something you might not otherwise notice. It doesn't cover the major tourist attractions of the city, but the wherigo may "ping" as you walk from one site to another. If you find 15 zones, then the location of a physical cache will be revealed. The final cache is only a nano I'm afraid - don't forget your pencil.
