I hid this cache to memorialize the time that I mistakenly thought my car was stolen on the 29th of January...It turned out to just be a false alarm.
It started over here at the Iron Canyon Trailhead Parking Area where I initially parked my RAV4 in order to go find the nearby multi-cache "On Your Rock, Get Set, Go" (GC1GZW4), after finding that cache I went back to my car and drove over to the Hog Lake Parking Area and started caching from there, I ended up hiking a big loop and found my way back over here. Forgetting that I moved my car I panicked when I didn't see it at this location. I ended up reporting my car as stolen and getting a ride back home. The next day I got a rental car that I drove all week before getting a call from the CHP that they found my car in the Hog Lake Parking Area where it was all along!

I felt like such a fool when I realized my mistake, I was convinced my car was stolen and I was thinking I would need to purchase a new vehicle. I was relieved to find that nothing was stolen and my car was not damaged, I just needed to pay to get my car out of towing since I was all the way in Redding when it was found. Lesson learned...I am going to mark where I parked my car before I leave the next time I go on a long hike. I'm glad my car wasn't muggled...
Hopefully you won't feel as foolish as I did when you go for this cache. $1 for FTF, bring your own pen. Good Luck...and don't lose your car.
Congratulations to granny quad and quadsearcher for the Co-FTF!
