Historia stałego osadnictwa na terenie Zerznia i okolic sięga ponad 3000 lat, jednak ludzie pojawili się tu znacznie wcześniej, tuż po ustąpieniu lodowca. Usytuowane ponad żyznymi łąkami wzniesienie to wymarzone miejsce na osadę – ziemia wciąż kryje ślady wiosek i cmentarzy z epoki brązu i żelaza. Pierwszy, drewniany kościół zbudowano tu w 1403 roku, jeszcze przed bitwą pod Grunwaldem. Jednak nie ze względu na historię chciałem zaprosić Cię w to miejsce.
Skrytka znajduje się w jednym z ostatnich dzikich zakątków tego terenu. Znajdziesz tu powalone drzewa, których spróchniałe pnie stają się piastunkami dla niecierpliwych zdobywców, walczących o światło z trudem przebijające się przez gąszcz liści. Pod twoimi stopami są niezliczone tropy zwierząt, dla których to miejsce wciąż jest kryjówką przed zimowymi zawieruchami, letnim upałem, ale przede wszystkim przed ekspansją człowieka. Jeśli zatrzymasz się na chwilę, usłyszysz śpiew ptaków, szmer liści, a może nawet spotkasz sarnę, bobra lub dzika.
Ten fragment naturalnego lasu łęgowego powoli zamiera, otaczany przez osiedla. Chcę, żebyś odwiedził go, zanim zamkną go siatki i betonowe mury, a jego żywi mieszkańcy staną się więźniami. Chcę, żebyś dostrzegł jego nietrwałe piękno i zapamiętał chwilę wytchnienia w środku miasta.
Przy dojściu od strony ulicy Trakt Lubelski nie przekraczać znaku „teren prywatny”, skręcić w prawo przed nim.
The history of colonization of the Zerzen area covers over 3000 years, but first humans appeared here even earlier, just after the glacial period. The hill situated nearby fertile meadows seems an ideal place for settlement – the ground here still hides remains of villages and cemeteries from the Bronze and Iron Age. The first wooden church was erected here as early as 1403, before the famous battle of Grunwald. However, the history is not the main reason why I would like to invite you to this place.
The cache is situated in one of the last wild spots of this area. Here you will find fallen giants, whose rotten trunks become nursing grounds for inpatient conquerors, fighting for the light which hardly breaks through dense tree tops. Under your feet you will find endless animal tracks, for which this place is still a hideout from winter blizzards, summer heats, but first of all from human expansion. If you stop for a while, you will hear singing birds, rustle in the leaves, and maybe you will even spot a roe-deer, beaver or a wild boar.
This fragment of natural riparian forest slowly vanishes, surrounded by residential developments. I want you to visit this place before it becomes completely closed behind fences and concrete walls, and its living inhabitants become prisoners. I want you to see its evanescent beauty, and remember the break from rush of the surrounding city.
